Foreword In life, value determines the worth of anything or any endeavour. To attach value to someone, an object, situation or even a matter implies the worth or esteem placed on it, and this varies depending on different parameters for judgment or consideration at any given time. However, value is intrinsic and subjective; in other words, what is of value to an individual may virtually be worthless to another individual. This again explains why human beings differ from one place to the other on matters like money and possessions, religions and faith, politics and governance and other issues like marriage and divorce, beauty and love, and all such other considerations common to a man. Life has been so ordered to emphasize that value determines judgement, i.e., your assessment and decisions on critical and non-essential matters are very much based on your value systems. You tend to place value on issues like sustenance, faith, health, relationships, divinity, etc., that are critical to your existence as a person not only on the physical, material plane, but even more so on the spiritual and esoteric levels.
Preface This life is a precious time borrowed from God to prove our faithfulness towards Him. What more purpose can this life hold? We are pilgrims in this place and God through many of His prophets has revealed how man is to live in this world and has set standards of purity. Yet sometimes in certain situations God Himself permits a deviation to His plan for a special purpose. Now, as a committed Christian our main goal in this life should be to what extent we can testify God in our lives and glorify Him with our body. Enoch pleased God so much so that he never tasted death and so did Elijah. In short, the whole duty of a man is to fear God and to keep His commandments (Eccl: 11:13). If you love a person with your whole heart and soul you would not hurt that person by any means. After marriage if the decisions that partners make in their life are not in unison, the marriage life can fail; the same applies in each of our lives in regard to God, as our soul is inseparable from God. The commandments set forth by God are life-giving to the soul which in turn makes us happy and contended. The ultimate aim of every true Christian is eternal life. To abide by the commandments faithfully you need Christ to live within you. Christ within you will bring about the great changes in your life which you cannot achieve with your own ability or self will. I introspected into my past life and did an inspection on what I have achieved and how I am changed over the years. I realized that my perceptions of many matters have changed and how the consequences of bad decisionsed to deleterious effects. I was also by now more equipped spiritually to view any situation lightly and to rest on God the burden to solve all the problems.
