Foreword

The foundations of Indian culture were deeply embedded in Dravidian culture is now an incontrovertible fact. Dravidian culture is one of the most ancient cultures of the world. Those cultures, slightly contemporaneous to one another, slowly started fading out. However, the primordial Dravidian culture continues to thrive without losing its quintessence despite the apparent changes in systems of dress and address.

Dravidian University was established in 1997 to mirror the real and rich picture of Dravidian culture not only in its linguistic, literary, cultural and philosophical facets but in science and technological angles also.

The main objectives of Dravidian University are to augment the common weal and social well-being of the communities of marginal languages and to build bridges among the Southern states. While working on each language separately in varied areas, it aims at a synthesis and a discovery of the common heritage through Comparative Studies.

The Centre for Publications and Extension Services is most significant wing of the University because of its several on-going progressive activities.

Preface

Since my childhood I have been reading the autobiographies and writings of the great philosophers and social reformers and gave inspiration to me and [| started writings. From times immemorial. Some people are exploiting the down-trodden communities in the society. Through my articles, I would like to bring awareness among the common peoples.

I have presented number papers in National and International seminars and conferences in India. Out of which thirteen research articles have selected for publications which are in sociological, ontological, epistemological and axiological concepts and some are related to Culture and Literature and some are spiritual and religious concepts like; Bhakti, Liberation, Phenomenalsim, Sri Narayanaguru, George Berkeley, Buddhism Saint Vemana, the concept of Dukkha in Buddhist Tradition, Concept of Peace, Vethathiri Maharishi and Sri Potuluri Veera Brahmam philosophy,Dalit literature,on: Periyar Basaveswara and the concept of Sanathana Dharma in Hinduism and so on. After a careful observation of those papers, I felt that ‘Philosophical Papers’ is suitable title for which it is easy to identify for the scholars and researchers so that the reader may learn various concepts in a single book.
