Bhabani Bhattacharya is a social realist and at the same time a visionary. He depicts life in the country as he has seen it with his observant eyes. Acknowledgement

For the idea of this book, I am indebted primarily to Dr. K.K. Narayan, Head- Department of English, Gaya College, Gaya (M.U.Bodhgaya) Who has been my career shaper since my early days. Professor Alo Sircar , Former Head-Department of English (M.U.Bodhgaya), my esteemed teacher who inspired me to do some memorable work. Without his inspiration this work wouldn't have seen the light of the day. I'm indeed grateful to Professor Hari Mohan Prasad & Professor C.P.Singh (M.U.Bodhgaya) for their inspiring interest in my work. My colleagues and friends helped me variously; to them I offer my love. And, lastly I cannot help remembering my wife's & Son's sustaining interest in the book. Yet, after all is said, there remains a debt that cannot be repaid; the debt of love of the unknown Supreme! "More is thy due than more Than all can pay".
