About the Author
Dr. Janki Mithaiwala is a young upcoming classical vocalist, who believes that music is a miraculous natural phenomenon which simply happens to us all. While working for her Ph.D. in music, she felt that the wondersome subtle theories in all subjects inclusive of music are for life time research. Like life, music is the journey of joy and bliss to uncover the divine truth where, logic and abstract go hand in hand. Her guru Padmabhushan Dr. Prabha Atre being a thinker has always inspired her to dive deep into music to find out the pearls. Dr. Janki believes that her beautiful realizations of music be experienced by other seekers too. This reflected in her finding 'Antahswar Institute of Music at Bharuch, Gujarat, where music is thought, taught, performed and celebrated; consequentially, working to spread qualitative music in society. Her focus and high admiration for music has resulted into her achieving gold medals in M.A. and B.A. besides other awards in Classical Vocal Music. She says that she is mesmerized by the experiences of Indian classical music, Vis a Vis enjoys the harmony of western music. Yet Indian melody and improvisation are the areas she cherishes the most. Her likings towards this amalgam invoked a deep exploration in FUSION MUSIC.
