Influence of Sanskrit on Telugu Language and Literature

Preface In 1988, I was invited to give two lectures on the influence of Sanskrit on Telugu language and on Telugu literature under the auspices of Dr. K.M. George Award Trust, at Trivandrum. I was told that these lectures would be published in a Volume, along with other lectures on similar subjects. But about one year ago I came to know that the Malayalam translation of these lectures was published in a journal and that the English originals were yet to be published.

Prompted by the innate urge of an author to see the results of his academic toil in print at the earliest possible time, I got them published in the quarterly journal Samskrtabharati of the Samskrta Bhasha Prachara Samiti, Hyderabad and a few copies were also issued in book-form, so that they might reach the hands of the people, interested in the subject, in a more agreeable appearance.
