Book Description

Preface
The long dilemma over the existence of Sri Ram Mandir is finally over. The existence of Ram Lalla's place of birth was never in doubt as proved by the excavations carried out by Archaeological Survey of India, but the honesty to resolve the issue wasn't there it all. All the previous government other than the present one under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had neither the will nor the resolve to bring an end the decade's long Mandir-Masjid dispute. The earlier governments used the dispute to create, the fear among the minority community for political gains.

Because of the lack of political will thousands of lives have been lost after the Babri Masjid demolition. The religious issues should always be handled with maturity. There were numerous attempts earlier to solve the issue and in process all the stake holders were involved in a mediation process but they also could not arrive to any conclusion and finally the Supreme Court has to give in.

Introduction
The sacred spot in Ayodhya, worshipped by Hindus since time immemorial, requires no proof that it is the birthplace of Lord Ram. It has unfortunately been made the subject of a contrived and unnecessary controversy in the last three decades. The fact that this happened and still persists is a telling comment on perversion of secularism, beyond all reasonable parameters. The electoral verdict in May 2014, however, indicated that the time has come to bring an end to such subterfuge.

This book deploys the seasoned tactics of investigative reporting to hit the Ayodhya trail and explore the antecedents of the dispute; cultural matrix of Sri Ramjanmabhumi; and credo of Islamic hegemony. Extensive research and objective scholarship are combined with racy story-telling so that the narrative moves swiftly towards the incontrovertible conclusion that Babri Masjid was built on a Hindu site, with the remains of a temple. The account, divided into two parts - 'Architecture and Archaeology', and 'Politics' -is a comprehensive view of the issue. The first section details architectural relics and archaeological excavations and findings at the disputed site as well as the `Left-liberal'-Muslim riposte, known for its propagandist and irrational worldview. Photographs, taken by our team while on the trail, leave no doubt about the nature of the structures that underlay Babri Masjid, notwithstanding efforts to falsify history by giving precedence to the Islamic advent.

The section on 'Politics' explores the subject in the wider context of the spread of Islamic monotheism through Asia, Europe and Africa via an anti-idolatry blitz: smashing sacred emblems and images of deities; vandalising shrines; usurping pilgrimages even of kindred Semitic religions Judaism and Christianity; enforcing conversions, often at the point of the sword; and effacing existing beliefs and cultures.
