About the Book Recognising the significance of the Bhagavad Gita in the present times as a guide to understanding the life and attaining spiritual fulfilment, Dr. Surendra Singh Yadav conveys here its enduring message in the form of beautiful verses in English. In a simple and fluent language, the verses capture the rich meaning of the Gita and present it in a condensed form with a rare clarity. Much like his rare book in Hindi, titled, Krishna-Arjuna Saved', this work in English, brings out the glory of the Lord Krishna and gives out the essential substance of the yoga of knowledge, the karma yoga, the yoga of devotion and the yoga of meditation.
The book will make essential reading for all as the Gita is concerned with the human quest in the battle field of life and provides the guidelines for a victory therein.

Foreword THE Dialogue of Krishna and Arjuna enshrined in Slimed Bhagavad-Gita represent the quest and the yearning of human beings for wisdom in the battlefield of life. Gita has been the book of books, par-excellence in the spiritual and ethical heritage of India. Dr. Surendra SinghYadav has endeavoured to translate the great book, both in Hindi and English, a veritable labour of love and devotion. In his English translation he has tried to capture the essence of the dialogue in which Lord Krishna guides His friend and disciple Arjuna out of his melancholy reluctance to join the battle by imparting him to the wisdom of the yoga of knowledge, of karm-yoga, renunciation of action in knowledge and the yoga of meditation. Lord Krishna shares with Arjuna the vision of His cosmic form, the meaning of bhakti-yoga, and leads him to Liberation through Renunciation. The translation conveys the quintessence of the eternal message of Gita. It has the quality of clarity, lucidity and flow. What is more, it has a resonance of the enduring message of Gita in simple and intelligible diction and form. I commend the book as an example of devotion to seek the divine and to disseminate the message of the Song Celestial.
