Tansen

Tansen, one of the greatest singer, composers and musicians in India Classical music, was one of the nine jewels in the court of Emperor Akbhar. Tansen, born as Ramtanu to a Hindu family, came to be known as Mian Tansen, the nickname conferred o him by Emperor Akbar.

This title on this great musician who pioneered the Dhrupad style of singing, narrates his story about how he learnt music from his Hindu as well as Muslim gurus and who was also later married a Muslim girl.
