Water is given the first place. The use of water is mentioned for the sake of drinking, sprinkling, washing as a holy water as panaceas, as medicinal heated water and even as a drug. A number of drugs were in practical use and the \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003edatas\u003c\/span\u003e were recorded in the form of \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003eSamhitas\u003c\/span\u003e. \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003eSystamatic\u003c\/span\u003e \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003edescritions\u003c\/span\u003e of \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003eDravya\u003c\/span\u003e are available in \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003eSamhitas\u003c\/span\u003e. The knowledge of \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003eDravyaguna\u003c\/span\u003e attained its peak during this period. The formulations of various \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003evajikara\u003c\/span\u003e and \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003erasayana\u003c\/span\u003e drugs in \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003eSamhitas\u003c\/span\u003e are notable descriptions. The \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003erasayana\u003c\/span\u003e drugs are very effective and are \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003epromotors\u003c\/span\u003e of health, immunity and life.
