This is the fourth work in the series presented to the lovers of astrology.
2. To all my friends whose horoscopes have been used to explain the principles of astrology.
3. To the great Rishis Parashara, Kalyan Verma, Mantreshwara, Bhrigu, Venkatesh Sharma, Acharya Meen Raj, author of Maansagari and the Twentieth Century Bishma Pitamah of Astrology Dr. B.V. Raman and to my Jyotisha Guru.
4. To my wife Smt. Sarojini Devi, who for decades continuously helped in making it convenient for me to devote maximum time to the service of astrology.
5. To my friends Shri K. Rangachari (N. Vice President ICAS) and Shri Pankaj Joshi, Jyotish Visharada for their help in proof reading of this fourth edition.
This is fourth volume on Predictive Astrology giving a systematic analysis, in judging and interpreting a horoscope. All the books published so far have been appreciated by students, lovers of Astrology, teachers and students of other Astrological Institutes and the faculty members of other chapter’s of Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (Regd.) Chennai (Amritsar, channai, Delhi (I,II,III, IV and V), Chandigarh, Faridabad, Allahabad, Patna, Noida, Ghaziabad, Alwar, Jaipur, Kanpur, Bangalore, Khammam, Secunderabad, Shimoga, Pune, Madurai, Visakhapatnam, etc.).
The present volume consists of principles (Sutras) :elected from different classical books. These principles are explained with the help of a large number of practical illustrations and comments thereon.
The interpretation of these principles or their applicability ire explained after taking into consideration the modern scientific developments in the world. There can be differences of opinion among scholars or lapses on my part. Suggestion for improvement is always welcome.
It is very difficult to collect horoscopes having similar 1anetary positions. All illustrations have been taken room personal collection of horoscopes. The data, as far s possible, contains the life events that could be disclosed. The lovers of astrology will be grateful to those whose horoscopes have been used for practical illustrations along with personal events of their life. As the horoscopes Lustrated here are for the propagation and development astrology I am sure the donors would gracefully give consent.
Lord of the X house: The Moon. The characteristics of the Moon, her position in the chart should also be considered.
Characteristics of Sign : Cancer is movable, Brahmin, watery, even and female sign. The above principles are given for judgment of the tenth house for the profession of the native. For other results of the behave, in addition to the above principles, a few other points are to be considered. For example if we want to know about the father of the native, the karaka Sun, 9th from Sun, 10th from 10th, 9th from 9th house, Bhavat Bhavam, etc. will have to be taken into consideration.
II Specific
(a) Taking into account the houses owned by planet: In the aforesaid example, Jupiter is the lord of third and sixth house posited in tenth.
(b) The position of planet and its relationship with the lord of the behave where it is posited: Jupiter is posited in friend’s house, exalted and in a powerful Kendra.
(c) *PAC with other planets: Jupiter is not accepted by any planet and also does not aspect any other planet say except Rahu posited in sixth.
(d) Characteristics of the sign of that bhava : Cancer is watery, even and movable sign, representing wells, tanks etc., plants, shrubs and trees, fast walking, fond of wealth, occult tendencies, benefic sign, social etc.
(e) Characteristics of the lord of that bhava: The Moon is the lord of tenth house. The Moon represents mother, corpulent body, and mind, mental disposition, flexible nature, unstable mind, heart, alcohol, milk, agricultural products etc.
The position of Jupiter in (Cancer) the tenth house will therefore indicate that the native will be pious, religious, educated, skilled in Shasta’s, devoted to God, calm, friendly, successful in his pursuits, will look after well being of others, attached to brothers and sisters and his actions will be justified and appreciable etc.
Jupiter being lord of the third and sixth house in tenth, shows high position in service due to his own efforts and will face many obstacles etc. which he will overcome. The position of lord of tenth say in lagna again favors the good results of the tenth house. Moon in kendra from Jupiter causes GAJ KESHARI YOGA.
The effect of Cancer, Libra, Moon, Jupiter and Venus are to be considered for predicting the tenth house for a comprehensive analysis.
In this book, the discussion about the results produced by the position of a planet in different bhavas are given to show that the principles given in classical texts are giving results. Such position of planets have not been described in any book. Parashara Hora has always talked about the combinations, position of planets in rashi or vargas, P.A.C. connection of planets and their results. In practice also it is seen that the results of the position of planets depend upon the relation of other planets and their interrelationship etc.
The author firmly believes that Almighty will help all of us in learning this divine science and enable us to propagate astrology in a scientific manner.
